David Goodger leads Oxford Economics’ work in tourism forecasting and economic impact analysis as Managing Director of Tourism Economics EMEA.

He has been instrumental in developing Oxford Economics’ global tourism forecast models and continues to manage regular database updates for 185 countries and over 300 cities. This includes the outlook for visits, nights and spending by source market and destination; as well as the air passenger forecast in collaboration with IATA; and hotel performance models with STR. David regularly presents the economic and tourism outlook to client groups and conferences with a recent focus on the likely recovery path from the pandemic including alternative scenarios. 

David was educated at the University of Bristol, England, where he gained a degree in Economics with Statistics; and at the London School of Economics and Political Science, England, where he graduated with an MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics”.
