Government Projects from the Tuzla Canton to participate at the Sarajevo Business Forum 2017
BBI’s VIP Business Club in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH and the Chamber of Commerce of the Tuzla Canton organized a workshop for the preparation of projects for the Sarajevo Business Forum 2017, the largest regional investment conference which will be held in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the 22nd and 23rd of May.
More than 40 businessmen attended the workshop and actively participated in discussion, taking full advantage of potential investment opportunities offered by the Forum.
Attendees where addressed by the Minister of Energy and Mining Srdjan Micanovic. He stated that the Government of the Tuzla Canton has already signed a memorandum of cooperation with the organizers of SBF 2017 and intends to propose projects for this year’s Forum. Micanovic stressed the importance of active cooperation and stated that the Government of the Tuzla Canton has allocated funds to subsidies companies who hire new employees.
The Director of the Cantonal Chamber of Commerce in Tuzla, Nedret Kikanovic, called on businessmen to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Sarajevo Business Forum and to participate in the conference.
The focus of this year's Forum is cooperation with India, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates and countries in Western Europe, specifically Germany. In the past seven years, SBF brought together participants from more than 30 countries. Last year's conference was attended by more than 1,600 participants, including 350 accredited journalists, and held more than 250 direct meetings between businesses and entrepreneurs.
Workshops have been held in Banja Luka, Mostar, Bihac, Zenica, Gorazde, Posusje and Belgrade where businessmen were presented with the methodology of preparing projects by internationally recognized standards. Workshops are supported by local Chambers of Commerce and additional events are planned to be held in Bijeljina, Travnik, Sarajevo and Skopje.
Patronage of the Sarajevo Business Forum is the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the support of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local Chambers of Commerce as well as local and foreign companies.
