He was born on September 25, 1959 in Gradačac, where he finished elementary school and city high school. After that, he studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo, where he graduated in 1983. After graduating from college, he got a job at the TMD Gradačac Famos Motor Parts Factory in Gradačac, where he worked until 1990. From 1983 to 1990. he was the development manager of the Motor Parts Factory "TMD Gradačac Famos" Gradačac. In the period from 1990 to 1996, he was on the board of directors of TMD Gradačac Famos, after which he was its director until 2001, when the company was sold to Autoindustrija Cimos from Slovenia. After the privatization of the company, he remained as a director until 2013, when he became a member of the supervisory board of the municipal companies Furniture and Wagner Automotive. Novalić was involved in several important political projects, the most famous of which was the implementation of the Ante Markovic Privatization Act in 1990. He is currently a member of the Economic Council of the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo, where he teaches "Marketing Management in Practice" to postgraduate groups. In addition, Novalić is the president of NK Zvijezda Gradačac and the Gradačac Business Association. On March 31, 2015, Novalić was appointed Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Democratic Front (DF), the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH (HDZ BiH) and the Party of Democratic Action (SDA). Fadil Novalić is married to Selvija Novalić and has three daughters.
