Mr. Avdagiç was born in 1959 in Zenica (Bosnia-Herzegovina). He started his primary education in Cologne, Germany and finished in Istanbul. He completed his secondary education also in Istanbul, and graduated from Istanbul Technical University as a Mechanical Engineer in 1982. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration Specialization Program in 1988 with an honor’s degree. Mr. Avdagiç, who served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Composites Manufacturers Association between 2013 and 2019, has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ITO Information Commercialization and Research Foundation, ITO Education and Social Services Foundation and TUGEV (Tourism Development and Education Foundation), as the Chairman of the Executive Board of ICVB (Istanbul Congress and Visitors Bureau), as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Istanbul Dünya Ticaret Merkezi A.Ş. (World Trade Center Istanbul Incorporated) and Teknopark (Technopark) Istanbul, as a Member of the Board of Directors of DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board), ISTKA (Istanbul Development Agency) and TAYSAD (Association of Vehicles Procurement Manufacturers), as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Ticaret University, International University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Islamic Science History Research Foundation, Istanbul Technical University Development Foundation, Bosnia Sanjak Academic Culture and History Foundation, as a Member of the Advisory Board of Istanbul Technical University, and as a Member of the YÖK (Council of Higher Education) USI (University-Industry Cooperation) Commission Mr. Avdagic is married and has two children. He speaks English and Bosnian.
