Large political and business delegation from Indonesia confirms participation in Sarajevo Business Forum 2018

Large political and business delegation from Indonesia announced that it will visit the 9th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) as a leading investment conference which will be held in Sarajevo on April 25 and 26. The delegation will be headed by the Minister of Rural Affairs and Spatial Planning Dr. Sofyan A. Djalil. Among others, the Indonesian delegation will include Alwi Shihab, special representative of Indonesian President and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Hassan Wirajuda, former Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs and an expert on ASEAN countries.

These political leaders will be accompanied by a large economic delegation led by prof. Anwar Nasution, President Commissioner of Bank Muamalat Indonesia, who is visiting SBF for the second time.

This year, participants at SBF will have an opportunity to meet with Iyad Shurafa, Executive Director of the Salim Group for Europe. Salim Group is an Indonesian conglomerate which runs companies across five continents. It is active in the field of food production and processing, distribution and retail, telecommunications, infrastructure, automobile, construction and chemical industry, real estate, tourism and financial services.

With its 252 million inhabitants, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world (after China, India and the United States) and one of the largest markets. Its economy records steady growth and currently ranks among the top 20 in the world. The annual GDP growth is 5.5 percent, and analysts predict that the growth trend will continue.
Indonesian businessmen are interested in importing agricultural products, especially organic food - meat and dairy products, as well as in textile and wood industry.

For the ninth year in a row, Sarajevo Business Forum is organized by BBI Bank in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Businessmen can apply for participation in the SBF 2018 on
