Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Mehmet Şimşek and Large Business Delegation from Turkey Confirm Their Participation in Sarajevo Business Forum 2018

Mehmet Şimşek, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, confirmed his participation in the 9th International Investment Conference Sarajevo Business Forum 2018, which will be held in the BiH capital on April 25 and 26.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister will be accompanied by the leading representatives of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB - Türkiye Odalar ve Borsalar Birliği) and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO - Istanbul Ticaret Odası).

Turkish delegation to the 9th Sarajevo Business Forum will include leading representatives of some of the largest financial institutions in this country. In addition to the institutional representatives of Turkish economy, the delegation will include numerous businessmen who have expressed interest in cooperating with their colleagues from BiH and the region.

Mehmet Şimşek became the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey in November 2015. He is the former Minister of Finance of Turkey. During his tenure as Minister of Finance, Şimşek's fiscal policy led to strong recovery of Turkish economy. During the 9th SBF which is organized by BBI Bank, Mr. Şimşek will take part in the plenary session on the first day of the Forum.

As in previous years, the conference will provide the entrepreneurs with an opportunity to attend direct meetings with investors that will be organized by BBI Bank. Connecting the countries of Southeast Europe with the rest of the world and establishing infrastructure that will facilitate strengthening of economic and other ties is one of the topics which the guests and participants from Turkey will discuss with regional officials and businessmen.

Potential offered by investing in projects in the field of tourism, as the economic sector which records high growth rates in the regional countries and is predicted to continue its strong expansion in the future, will be discussed during the second day of the Forum. The panel participants will discuss the development of tourist infrastructure and the possibilities of cooperation and joint presentation of the regional countries in order to allow for more efficient presentation and utilization of the potential offered by entire region.

On the third day of the SBF, foreign investors are expected to visit production facilities owned by domestic manufacturers.
