This year's Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF), which brought together a record number of participants from almost 30 countries, was officially closed.
CEO of the BBI Bank Amer Bukvić said today that this year's SBF, in its eighth incarnation, brought together a record number of participants or about 1700 of them from 30 countries worldwide.
He pointed out that 190 projects were presented to the investors while 317 meetings were held between representatives of companies, which is 23 % higher compared to the last year.
"I hope that we, together with the media, managed to change the image of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans that has long been associated with the war and other negative things, while today it is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the world", said Bukvić.
He thanked the speakers and panelists for the experience they shared, as well as the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina that was the patron of the Sarajevo Business Forum. Also, Bukvić thanked numerous state institutions, agencies and chambers of commerce for their help with the organization of the Forum.
This eighth gathering of investors and businessmen and representatives of states and governments from all around the world made it possible for the participants to learn about the investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as countries in the region: Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.
The last special session was dedicated to connecting Indonesia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and it was moderated by Mahmud Azhar Lubis, Deputy Chairman of Investments of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board.
