50 businessmen from Bahrain announced their arrival to the Sarajevo Business Forum
In preparation for the upcoming Sarajevo Business Forum, which will be held on the 25th and 26th of April in Sarajevo, BBI Bank organized business meetings with international and regional businessmen and investors.
"For the ninth consecutive year, the Sarajevo Business Forum gathers investors and businessmen from all over the world, giving them the opportunity to become acquainted with investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Southeastern Europe. At the moment, representatives from BBI Bank are in the Kingdom of Bahrain negotiating future cooperation as well as the arrival of leading businessmen to the upcoming SBF conference. Businessmen from the Kingdom of Bahrain are already familiar with the investment opportunities of this region though we still presented our advantages with regards to natural resources and development in the fields of real estate, energy, agriculture, the food industry and even tourism. We also organized the arrival of a large business delegation of approximately 50 businessmen that will be coming to this year’s conference,” said Amer Bukvić, President of the Management Board of BBI Bank, as he announced the 9th annual Sarajevo Business Forum. He added that representatives of BBI Bank recently visited Oman and announced the arrival of their investors to the SBF conference as well. Bukvic went on to add that "presentations about the investment opportunities of BiH and the region will soon be organized in the countries of the Gulf region, Turkey and Saudi Arabia."
The vast potential of investing in BiH and the Southeastern European region to Bahraini investors were presented by Nedim Šahović and Azra Čolić from BBI Bank and the BBI VIP Business Club.
Positive impressions of the Sarajevo Business Forum were given by businessman Jawad Al Hawaii, the president of the Al Hawaii Group and the president of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Bahrain Society, who participated in the SBF conference last year. He announced the arrival of a large delegation to Sarajevo in order to try to arrange cooperation and direct contact with domestic businessmen. Representatives of the BBI VIP Club have planned to hold meetings in the next few days with leading institutional and private investors in Bahrain in order to present the investment and tourism potentials of BiH and the region. The organizer of the largest and most important investment conference in the region is Bosna Bank International (BBI) in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
This year's SBF conference will reveal a series of projects in agriculture, energy, education, finance, infrastructure, construction, tourism and other development sectors. Over the past eight years, since 2010, when the Sarajevo Business Forum was first held, the conference has been attended by 8,000 participants from more than 50 countries enabling BiH and the Forum to host more than 20 presidents and/or prime ministers. More than 3,000 companies participated in the Forum and more than 1,500 direct business meetings were held. The Forum was also followed by more than 2,000 journalists from around the world who all promoted BiH and the region as a prime investment destination.
